At Escuela de Guadalupe, the well-being of every student is a responsibility shared by teachers, staff, administrators, and school counselors.

Escuela de Guadalupe, founded in 1999 in Northwest Denver, offers a dual-language education to Latino families. Despite facing closure in 2007, community support and media coverage helped raise funds for its survival. The school has since thrived, expanding to PK-8 and achieving remarkable academic success among its students.

Jennifer Godoy, born in El Salvador, moved to the U.S. for a better education. Her parents worked hard to afford private schooling at Escuela de Guadalupe, which provided scholarships. She progressed to St. Mary’s Academy and then the University of San Francisco. Now at PwC, she serves on Escuela’s Board to give back.

Missael reflects on his past views of his school’s principal, realizing now as a father the significance of high expectations in education. He appreciates the close-knit community at Escuela de Guadalupe that fostered genuine relationships and support. Consequently, he decided to enroll his daughter there for a challenging, enriching environment.
