Escuela de Guadalupe Receives “Extremely Positive” Results from Mission Fidelity Assessment

Dear Friends of Escuela de Guadalupe,

Over the past year, Escuela de Guadalupe has had the privilege of completing a Mission Fidelity Assessment with the Archdiocese of Denver’s Office of Catholic Schools, a process designed to strengthen Catholic identity and support schools in ongoing renewal. Every Catholic school in the diocese is participating in this process.

As President, I was honored to help lead this effort in my first year, and I am excited to share a summary of the visiting team’s final assessment, which was approved by Archbishop Samuel Aquila. The results were extremely positive, affirming the good and sacred work happening every day at Escuela.

In their commendations, the visiting team celebrated what so many of you have long believed to be true:

  • Our community is exceptional. The visitors noted that Escuela’s community offers something “special and impressive…that you don’t find in other schools.”
  • Our teachers are remarkable models, described as “living witnesses of their faith” who joyfully embrace their vocation.
  • Our students radiate joy and faith, speaking about Jesus “like someone they actually know.”
  • The team also affirmed Escuela’s clarity of mission as the only dual-language, Catholic school in Denver, uniquely positioned to serve the community and to evangelize through an excellent, faith-filled education.

Alongside these affirmations, the team offered two forward-looking recommendations, both of which we welcome:

  1. Strengthen the visibly Catholic environment across campus, thoughtfully elevating our sacred identity in our spaces while celebrating our diverse culture.
  2. Deepen the integration of a Catholic worldview throughout curriculum and instruction, supported by continued formation for faculty and staff, and partnership with the Archdiocese.

We are grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and generosity throughout this process. In partnership with you, Escuela is forming joyful disciples, serving families with dignity, and living a mission that strengthens both the Church and our city.

With gratitude,
