As a proudly Catholic, dual-language Denver school, Escuela de Guadalupe welcomes students and families from more than 15 countries around the world, and from 40 different zip codes across the Denver metro area. Additionally, nearly half of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
And yet we are all united by a deep commitment to academic excellence, a shared celebration of culture, and a foundation built on respect, responsibility, and kindness.
We believe that global diversity is not an idea to be studied from afar—it’s a lived experience. Every hallway, classroom, and community event is a reflection of our community’s rich mosaic. That’s why we make space in our Denver dual-language school, year-round, to uplift the cultures, traditions, and voices of our families.
Our Families, Our Traditions

One of the most vibrant examples is our beloved Our Families, Our Traditions event. This annual celebration brings together the entire Escuela community to honor the many heritages represented at our school. Families share authentic cuisine from their home countries, dress in traditional attire, and showcase cultural dances passed down through generations. “This is who we are,” said one parent. “This school sees all of us.”
Another treasured event is Independence Day, where students parade through the gym in the traditional dress of their family’s country of origin, waving flags high with pride. It’s a moving and colorful tribute to global freedom, dignity, and the idea that identity is something to be celebrated.

Bilingual Exposition at Denver Dual-Language School
During our annual Bilingual Exposition, parents flood our Denver dual-language school to visit every classroom. Throughout the afternoon, our students show off their bilingual skills using poster boards, songs, theater productions, biographical presentations and more.
Diversity at Escuela isn’t just for special occasions—it’s woven into our everyday. Through our Kindness Club, students lead initiatives that build empathy, fight bullying, and promote inclusivity. The annual Unity Day is a schoolwide celebration of respect and differences.
Supporting all of this is our Valores Hero program, where students who exemplify Escuela’s core values—Respeto, Responsabilidad, y Amabilidad (Respect, Responsibility, and Kindness)—are honored and uplifted each week. These values are not abstract ideals. They are practiced by every student who holds the door open for a friend, every teacher who stops to listen to each individual in their classroom, and every parent who volunteers to support this community.

At Escuela de Guadalupe, we believe a truly excellent education must reflect the real world—and prepare students to change it. That means embracing global perspectives, nurturing intercultural understanding, and fostering compassion as boldly as we teach math or reading.
