Escuela de Guadalupe Earns ACIS Accreditation

DENVER, CO – On the eve of its 25th Anniversary, Escuela de Guadalupe is proud to announce that it has received accreditation from the Association of Colorado Independent Schools (ACIS).

“This is an incredibly important achievement for Escuela de Guadalupe,” said President Michelle Galuszka. “ACIS accreditation places us in prestigious company, including Colorado Academy, Kent Denver School, and St. Mary’s Academy. What a perfect way for us to kick off the 25th anniversary of our founding in 1999.”

“This is a very proud moment for Escuela.”

ACIS is a formally recognized accrediting agency under the International Council for Advancing Independent School Accreditation (ICAISA). Accreditation distinguishes ACIS schools and ensures quality for students and families.

“ACIS is thrilled to officially accredit Escuela de Guadalupe,” said Alan Smiley, Executive Director of ACIS. “The school’s unique mission and powerful programs provide exceptional educational opportunities for Denver area students and families, and their membership in ACIS enriches our entire association. They have worked tirelessly as a community to achieve this recognition.”

The ACIS evaluation cycle begins with a rigorous self-study process in which the school community conducts an honest and comprehensive analysis of its strengths and challenges in every area of the school. A ten-year evaluation cycle holds schools accountable for complying with the association’s high standards.

“Escuela de Guadalupe was founded to provide a rigorous, financially accessible private education to Denver’s underserved families,” said Galuszka. “Today, our graduates receive scholarships from the area’s most prestigious high schools, such as Regis Jesuit High School, St. Mary’s Academy, Arrupe Jesuit, and Colorado Academy. Accreditation from ACIS affirms our strengths and enables us to collaborate with professionals from some of Colorado’s most accomplished schools. This is a very proud moment for Escuela.”
