Escuela de Guadalupe is excited to announce that Mrs. Michelle Galuszka will be transitioning within our Escuela community from Director of Development to our new President, effective July 1, 2019.
Dear Escuela de Guadalupe Community,
On behalf of Escuela de Guadalupe's Board of Trustees, and the President Search Committee, I am pleased to announce that, after an extensive search, Mrs. Michelle Galuszka (our current Director of Development) will become our new President, effective July 1, 2019.
Mrs. Galuszka has led our fundraising efforts since 2015. She is an important part of our leadership team, successfully managing our development work, and more recently leading our admissions and graduate support programs. Mrs. Galuszka looks forward to continuing to work, as our new President, in collaboration with our administrators, faculty, staff and families, to support our community, and to provide an outstanding education for Escuela’s committed young scholars.
Mrs. Galuszka began her career in nonprofit fundraising as the Marketing Communications Director at Communities In Schools in Fort Worth, Texas. The program’s focus was placing social workers in public schools to intensively manage students at risk of dropping out. Thereafter, she led fundraising efforts at multiple hospital organizations, and was part of the team that led fundraising efforts when St. Joseph’s Hospital moved to its new Denver location. Mrs. Galuszka came to Escuela to better align her career with her passion for education.
The Board and Search Committee thanks the staff and parents at Escuela who participated in our presidential search and helped with candidate interviews. As we close this period of transition, please join us in thanking Sr. Victoria Schwartz, SL for her dedicated service to Escuela as interim President, and in congratulating Mrs. Galuszka on her new position. Sister Vicki, our principal, Mariella Robledo, and Mrs. Galuszka have worked together closely this year, and they will continue that collaboration to assure a smooth transition for everyone. We are blessed and grateful to have a capable new leader who knows the Escuela community and is well prepared to take us into our 20th anniversary year.
Sincerely,
Mike Gallagher
Escuela Board of Trustees Chairman
