Escuela Spotlight: Meet Miss Michelle

Escuela's newest staff member joined our team as the Development Director last September. Last week, she sat down with us to talk about her sports teams, her dance moves, and her favorite parts of her job...

Where are you originally from?

I was born in Wisconsin (Go Packers!) but grew up mainly in Kansas (Go Royals!).

What was your "Dream Job" when you were in elementary school?

Growing up I wanted to be a ballerina. When my older sister started dance classes, I begged my mom to let me join too. Even though I was technically too young, the teacher let me enroll. Dance became a huge part of my childhood and I danced all the way through my college years. These days, I am usually the first one on the dance floor at weddings.

I was an extremely active and outgoing child. I wanted to be involved in everything at school and was truly a social butterfly. Not much has changed!

When did you join the Escuela de Guadalupe Staff?

September 2016

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love getting to meet people who have a passion for what we do. It is one of the most fulfilling communities that I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. I feel very lucky.

What do you do during your free time, outside of work? Favorite sports or hobbies?

I love to be outside doing almost anything! I enjoy hiking, biking, taking Addi (my dog) to the park, and lately I've been busy planning my wedding for this summer!
